Gold Reel Film Festival

What is the Gold Reel Student Film Festival?

The Gold Reel Student Film Festival is a celebration of student filmmaking presented by the Film Club at UNC Charlotte. Students from all over the world submit films and screenplays in several categories for a chance to be shown at our annual event in April. We want to provide an opportunity for our community of filmmakers to connect with and learn from one another.

What categories of films are shown?

The categories for the festival include :

Short Form Narrative – (5 Minutes or Less)

Long Form Narrative – (5-15 Minutes)

Music Video

Documentary Short

Animation/Experimental Short

Screenplays (5-15 Pages)

New for 2015: Mobile (More Information to Be Announced)

When and where is the festival?

April 4th, 2015 at 5:00 in McKnight Hall at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte .

Is there a charge for admission to the festival?

There is no charge to attend the festival. All are welcome!

UNC Charlotte's Gold Reel Film Festival

Scarykind and our team will be competing with several other film makers in this awesome festival!!!! We have three films in the festival and we can't wait to see the turn out!!!
